Zaporizhzhia drone attack causes fatalities and injuries

Zaporizhzhia experienced a Russian drone attack on June 8, resulting in two fatalities and 18 injuries, including four children aged five, ten, and thirteen. Regional governor Ivan Fedorov confirmed the assault, which impacted residential areas and the city center. One FPV drone struck a minibus, with an eyewitness stating it "just flew into us," causing substantial damage and injuring a passenger. The attack also damaged homes, vehicles, and market stalls. Separately, Ukrainian forces in the Zaporizhzhia region reported neutralizing 665 Russian drones from May 31 to June 7. While some reports indicated 18 people were injured in the June 8 drone attack, other sources mentioned 10 or at least 15 casualties across Zaporizhzhia city and district within a broader context of 817 strikes on 46 settlements in the region.
