Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has joined President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in urging an international response to Russia's drone strike on the Chornobyl nuclear storage facility, which occurred on June 7 at 2:10 AM.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has joined President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in urging an international response to Russia's drone strike on the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility (CSNFSF) in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Sybiha emphasized that this incident, which occurred on June 7 at 2:10 AM, is not an isolated event. The strike, confirmed by President Zelenskyy, involved a Shahed-type drone causing substantial damage to the facility's fuel reception building and adjacent structures. Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna also condemned the attack, reiterating that Russia's targeting of nuclear sites and weaponization of energy are unacceptable. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts are scheduled to visit the damaged site on June 7 for assessment.
