Trump cancels planned Iran strikes amid reports of potential ceasefire talks

US President Donald Trump announced a "very strong strike" against Iran, threatening to "bomb the shit out of Iran" and seize key infrastructure, but later canceled the operations. Reports suggest a potential framework ceasefire agreement could be signed in Geneva this Sunday.
US President Donald Trump initially announced intentions for a "very strong strike" against Iran, threatening to "bomb the shit out of Iran" and seize Kharg Island and other oil infrastructure. He described an April ceasefire as "the most violated in history" amidst ongoing exchanges of fire between US and Iranian forces. However, hours after these pronouncements, President Trump ultimately canceled the planned military operations. Separately, CNN reports that the US and Iran may sign a "framework" ceasefire agreement this Sunday in Geneva, with further negotiations expected to follow.
