Ukrainian Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets recently held his first meeting with Russia's new Human Rights Commissioner, Yana Lantratova. During their discussion, the two officials reportedly agreed to initiate a verification process for comprehensive lists of both military personnel and civilian individuals currently held in detention. The Ukrainian side also presented a proposal advocating for the involvement of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and human rights commissioners from other countries. This proposed involvement aims to facilitate visits to the various locations where Ukrainian prisoners are being held, underscoring efforts to address humanitarian concerns related to the ongoing conflict.
