On the night of June 9, Russian forces launched drone and missile strikes on the Kharkiv region, targeting Kharkiv city and Chuhuiv. These attacks resulted in at least three fatalities and seven injuries, alongside damage to residential buildings in Chuhuiv and drone impacts in Kharkiv's Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts. Earlier, on June 8, the General Staff recorded 260 combat engagements, noting significant Russian use of missiles, air strikes, and kamikaze drones. Ukrainian command also stated that Russian forces sustained approximately 1,370 personnel losses, four tanks, and 75 artillery systems over the preceding day. Separately, a Russian drone partially damaged a container reception building at the Central Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage facility in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone on June 7, though no spent nuclear fuel was present, and radiation levels remained normal.
