OpenAI files for IPO, Pentagon expands China military list, Apple updates Siri, and Ukraine provides energy aid

OpenAI confidentially filed for an IPO at an $852 billion valuation. The Pentagon expanded its list of Chinese companies accused of military support to include Alibaba, Baidu, BYD, and Unitree.

OpenAI has confidentially submitted an application for an initial public offering (IPO) to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with its current valuation estimated at $852 billion. This move positions the ChatGPT developer for a potentially significant market debut. Separately, the Pentagon has accused major Chinese companies, including Alibaba, Baidu, electric vehicle manufacturer BYD, and robotics firm Unitree, of supporting the Chinese military. Meanwhile, Apple introduced an updated Siri AI during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) and hinted at a sophisticated new iPhone model. However, the absence of a specific launch date for the AI assistant reportedly led to a decline in Apple's stock value during the presentation. In Ukraine, over 43,000 entrepreneurs received more than 438 million UAH in energy assistance, with over half reportedly spent on fuel for generators. Sources: Forbes Ukraine
