Musk becomes first dollar trillionaire as US leads global oil exports

Elon Musk reportedly became the world's first dollar trillionaire after SpaceX's IPO, while the United States surpassed Saudi Arabia and Russia to become the largest oil exporter globally. The ECB also raised rates.

Elon Musk has reportedly become the world's first dollar trillionaire following the initial public offering (IPO) of his aerospace company, SpaceX, which raised an estimated $75 billion. This development significantly increased his net worth from approximately $780 billion prior to the IPO. Concurrently, the United States has emerged as the world's largest oil exporter, surpassing traditional leaders Saudi Arabia and Russia, marking a notable shift in the global energy market. These economic shifts occur as the European Central Bank (ECB) recently raised its key interest rate by 0.25 percentage points to 2.25%, its first hike since September 2023, in response to an energy shock. Additionally, Ukraine's government is set to offer preferential loans at 0.1% for small and medium-sized businesses to aid property restoration from July 1.
