Israel rejects Iran's conditions as strikes continue in southern Lebanon

Following reciprocal attacks, Iran offered a conditional halt to its strikes, dependent on Israel ceasing operations in southern Lebanon. However, Israel has rejected these terms, with its Defense Minister stating the country "will continue to act" against Hezbollah in Lebanon. On Monday, Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon reportedly killed 14 people. The Israeli military has also conducted bombings in Beirut's southern suburbs and Tyre. Former US President Donald Trump has advocated for more "surgical" strikes against Hezbollah amidst these persistent regional tensions.
