Israel rejects Iran's conditional ceasefire offer amid continued strikes in southern Lebanon

Israel has rejected Iran's conditional ceasefire offer, stating it will continue operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Recent Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon resulted in 14 fatalities, including eight in Tyre.
Following recent reciprocal attacks, Iran proposed a conditional cessation of its strikes, contingent on Israel halting operations in southern Lebanon. However, Israel rejected these terms, with its Defense Minister asserting the country "will continue to act" against Hezbollah in Lebanon. On Monday, Israeli military actions in southern Lebanon reportedly caused 14 fatalities. Among these, at least eight people died and 32 were injured in the city of Tyre, according to Lebanese civil defense. These events unfold amidst persistent regional tensions, which also saw former US President Donald Trump advocate for more "surgical" strikes against Hezbollah.
