The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has acknowledged Ukraine's report concerning a Russian drone strike on the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage facility near the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant on the night of June 7. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had previously stated Russia deliberately targeted this "extremely critical infrastructure." Ukraine continues to engage international partners regarding the incident. Separately, Russian forces attacked Balabyne village in the Zaporizhzhia district on the morning of June 7, resulting in three fatalities and one injured woman, according to local authorities. Private residences sustained damage in the strike.
