Further bridge closures and attacks reported in southern Ukraine

Russian-appointed officials reported further bridge closures and attacks in southern Ukraine, including the Chonhar and Arabat Spit bridges, following alleged drone and missile strikes, impacting transport and fuel supplies to Crimea.

Following previous reports of infrastructure targeting, Russian-appointed officials stated that the Chonhar bridge, connecting occupied Crimea with Kherson Oblast, was closed again on June 9 after an alleged drone attack. Vladimir Saldo, a Russian-appointed official, claimed over 20 unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted. Additionally, the bridge linking Henichesk to the Arabat Spit was reportedly closed following an alleged Ukrainian missile strike. Saldo also reported new attacks on other bridges in the south, specifically over the North Crimean Canal near Preobrazhenka and Myrne, the road bridge towards Perekop-Armyansk, and a bridge near Stavky, with preliminary information indicating damage. These incidents continued to disrupt transport and fuel supplies in Crimea, which had seen sales halted on June 11.
